(INDIANAPOLIS) — Next month, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 2019 Indiana Conference on Energy Management, along with several business education conferences on various human resources topics, including employee benefits, the Family and Medical Leave Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The annual Indiana Conference on Energy Management is Indiana’s premier conference for helping business owners find affordable and sustainable energy sources for their businesses. It returns June 4 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to the Hyatt Regency in downtown Indianapolis.

Attendees can learn about the current status of energy in Indiana and what the future may hold, including what business leaders can do to prepare for that energy future. Experts from throughout the state will offer the tools and strategies Hoosiers need to cut costs and remain in compliance.

This conference is available for continuing education credits and is ideal for facility and energy managers, plant managers, energy and plant engineers, attorneys and governmental affairs managers.

The third installment of the ADVANCE Leadership Series takes place on June 11 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a focus on the work of leaders. FlashPoint Leadership Consulting’s Linda Dausend will cover the framework of vision, alignment and execution needed to encourage leaders to understand their own leadership tendencies and how those behaviors influence effectiveness in specific situations.

Cost to attend is $499 for each Indiana Chamber member, with a $599 list price. Continuing education credits are available, and the conference will be held at the Indiana Chamber’s conference center in downtown Indianapolis.

  • Employee Benefits Seminar, June 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Hoosier business leaders can ensure the retention and recruitment of talented employees by focusing on a company’s employee benefits strategy. The conference is suited for anyone in charge of hiring staff, corporate officers that make decisions about employee benefits, managers and supervisors and human resources professionals. Cost is $399 for Indiana Chamber members; list price is $499.
  • ADA Seminar, June 19 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Employers can learn the ins and outs of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and what state and federal laws require organizations adhere to in this one-day seminar. Cost is $399 for Indiana Chamber members; list price is $499.
  • FMLA Seminar, June 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Attendees can learn more about the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and related issues with the complicated federal law to help their companies stay in compliance. This seminar can serve as a refresher for seasoned HR professionals or as an introduction for those with new FMLA responsibilities. Cost is $399 for Indiana Chamber members; list price is $499.
