(INDIANAPOLIS) — The Indiana Chamber of Commerce is joining forces with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) to host the 2018 Indiana Environmental Conference at the JW Marriott Indianapolis on October 22-23.

The two-day conference, sponsored by the law firm Plews Shadley Racher & Braun LLP, will feature presentations from some of the leading environmental professionals in the state.

“By providing the most up-to-date developments in environmental regulation, attendees can discover how to develop practical strategies and compliance plans, and most importantly, how to best protect their business,” offers Kerri Begley, Indiana Chamber vice president of business education and events.

Educational breakout session topics include air permitting, regulatory enforcement, industrial stormwater compliance, air quality, security plan auditing, ISO standards, emergency emissions, spill prevention, climate change and much more. The conference includes an expo on day one; lunch and continental breakfasts are provided on both days. A closing luncheon keynote presentation on climate change and Indiana will be led by Jeff Dukes, director of the Purdue Climate Change Research Center; Janet McCabe, assistant director for policy and implementation at IU Environmental Resilience Institute; and Freedom Smith and Donald Snemis of Ice Miller.
