Your Indiana Chamber may not have had ALL the answers to your needs. But we strived to provide resources – webinars, virtual events, timely research and more – to assist during a tumultuous 2020.

When the pandemic hit, the Chamber created a statewide Road to Recovery resource center. More than 30,000 visitors have accessed the web site resources – coronavirus toolkits, government assistance programs, unemployment insurance updates, and key workforce and legal guidance being among the most popular items – and had their individual questions answered.

The Chamber has now presented two dozen free, on-demand webinars. More than 800 registered for last week’s session on Vaccine Considerations for Employers. These programs will continue in 2021.

The Road to Recovery effort includes three surveys regarding the economic impacts of COVID-19 and key factors in reopening the economy. Access key findings from the latest survey earlier this month.

Two members sum up what their partnership with the Chamber means to them in these uncertain times:

“I wanted to let you know how much we appreciate the webinars the Chamber has hosted. We have found them to be very helpful and very reliable. So much so, they are the only ones I watch anymore. We do appreciate your support during this time.”

– Jenniffer Crawford, controller, Skytech Products Group

“We originally joined the Indiana Chamber in order to participate in the ChamberCare (MEWA) health plan, but we are certainly glad to be part of such a great organization now! Not just for the coronavirus resources (which have been extremely helpful), but the work the Chamber has done and continues to do to support Indiana businesses and the Hoosier economy is so impressive.”

– Sarah Kubon, Business & Finance Manager, Business System Solutions

Connecting employers with training opportunities to boost their bottom lines – as well as employee talent – remained a constant throughout an unpredictable year.

Prior to the pandemic, the Chamber hosted a variety of in-person training events such as the Indiana Safety and Health Conference & Expo. The three-day program attracted 1,000-plus attendees and featured more than 70 educational sessions and exhibitors. The event returns March 1-3, 2021.

The annual Chamber Day Dinner, Indiana’s premier legislative event, also took place in downtown Indianapolis. More than 700 business leaders and government officials gathered to hear insights from former White House Chief of Staff and retired U.S. Marine Corps. General John F. Kelly. A hybrid program is planned for March 16, 2021.

As COVID-19 hit, the Chamber continued to serve your needs by bringing conferences and seminars to you. That took the form of virtual and hybrid events covering the normal wide range of topics such as human resources, wellness, taxes, energy, environmental issues, workforce development and more.

The Chamber also explored how employers are adapting to evolving talent needs with the 13th Annual Employer Workforce Survey.

In November, we took a comprehensive look at the state’s energy resources – and finding ways to fully utilize them – with a new study titled Powering Indiana’s Economic Future.
