(INDIANAPOLIS) — Andrew Wheeler, administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), will keynote the 2019 Indiana Environmental Conference October 9 at the Hyatt Regency-Indianapolis. The event is hosted by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM).
Wheeler will open the conference, which focuses on keeping Hoosier companies in compliance so they avoid hefty regulatory fines.
Agenda topics include how to utilize findings from an environmental audit to minimize enforcement actions or lawsuits, as well as how to manage environmental risks and limit a company’s liability. There is also a session from IDEM on the agency’s proposed fee increase to streamline the permit process. The full agenda is available at www.indianachamber.com/environment.
Companies can register to attend online or by calling (800) 824-6885.
The event’s title sponsor is Plews Shadley Racher & Braun, LLP.
The Indiana Chamber partners with 25,000 members and investors – representing over four million Hoosiers – to achieve the mission of “cultivating a world-class environment which provides economic opportunity and prosperity.”
