Committed to keeping employees safe while continuing to provide training amid COVID-19? So is your Indiana Chamber. We’re providing a variety of virtual options, as well as a thoughtful return to in-person events.

Looking ahead to September, you can kick off the month by attending the 2020 Indiana Worker’s Compensation Conference. The September 1 program marks our return to face-to-face education at the Chamber Conference Center.

Topics include investigating workplace injuries and accidents, achieving your goals, a roundtable luncheon with attorneys from conference sponsor Kightlinger & Gray, LLP and more.

“We’re limiting the number of attendees to follow COVID precautions. There will be appropriate seating for social distancing and additional safety measures in place,” emphasizes vice president of business education and events Kerri Begley.

That event kicks off a busy two-month period of full conferences, webinars and additional training sessions. Two more to highlight:

  • Environmental Permitting and Reporting Conference, September 15-16, presented by KERAMIDA. Topics include air, water and waste permitting and the always critical session titled: “The Permit NOV (Notice of Violation) Letter Arrives: Now What?”
  • Safety Leadership Principles, September 29-30, presented by The Safety Firm. The focus of this in-depth program is going beyond basic procedures and developing true safety leaders for the long-term benefit of your organization.

“With our traditional busy fall lineup, as well as some programs rescheduled from earlier in the year, September and October offer something for everyone,” Begley declares. “There’s also still time to register and participate in a variety of August events, including the virtual 2020 Indiana Conference on Energy Management (on August 19).”
