With the legislative session getting underway today, we have resources to make it easy for you to keep track of what’s happening with public policies that could impact your organization.

The weekly Legislative Report email resumes this Friday. This update recaps bill activity and looks ahead to the next step in the process. We will supplement those with timely updates during the week as developments warrant.

The first policy call takes place January 20 and will preview the session and highlight early activity. Additional calls will provide critical updates on legislation, so make sure to register for those. Chamber issue experts will lead the discussions and be available to answer your questions. Replays of each call also will be available.

Social media plays an important role in our communications, too. Our Twitter account – @indianachamber – and Facebook page will post excerpts from Chamber testimony on priority bills and other General Assembly news.

As the legislative session unfolds, you can find all the key information in our online policy center. For example, that’s where our legislative agendas matching our positions to actual bills will be located.

For direct communication with lawmakers, the 2023 Legislative Directory helps make those key connections. Both the app and booklet versions feature contact information for all 150 state legislators as well as committee assignments and much more. The app is now ready for download and the booklet is expected in-house by week’s end.

As always, please reach out to the government affairs team with any public policy questions and comments. With two new issue experts this session – Ashton Eller (employment law and health care) and David Ober (taxation, public finance and infrastructure), we encourage you to download the contact sheet. The team will be working hard for you and looks forward to your engagement!
