It’s time for the shift. We’re confident that you are ready to begin the transition from the necessary isolation for dealing with COVID-19 to business activation – while keeping health and safety as top priorities.
Your Indiana Chamber is doing just that. We thank the nearly 1,400 members and investors who participated in the recent Indiana’s Road to Economic Recovery survey.
In summary, more than half put the impact on their business at an 8, 9 or 10 (on a scale of 1-10, with 10 representing the highest level). Customer retention and finances top the list of upcoming challenges, followed by personnel and supply chains. The majority expect to resume operations with full employment, but 25% are not sure and 21% anticipate fewer employees.
Those are only a few of the intriguing numbers. Learn more:

In addition to the survey:
- The Road to Recovery overview outlines recommendations made to Gov. Holcomb and his economic recovery team for reopening the economy, along with some initial policy proposals to support Hoosier businesses. View two-page document
- The Employer Coronavirus Resources page that has received more than 25,000 visits will be shifting to an Economic Road to Recovery focus over the next week. We will still have federal and state government resources and guidance on financial assistance, unemployment/leave questions and more – but with added details and updates on successfully navigating the return to work
- As of this writing, the free Chamber webinar series totals 11 with more to come. Replays of all previous sessions are available, along with registration links for upcoming programs
Recovery is up next. We’ve done it before. Last week’s INsider featured a video capturing the long economic climb that began in 2000. The good news: Due to those efforts, Indiana is operating from a position of strength. With your ongoing support and teamwork, we will bring back business together.
