Legislative Priorities to be Outlined on November 19

2018-10-17T09:35:42+00:00October 16th, 2018|

Hoosiers can get a first look at the Indiana Chamber’s top legislative priorities for the 2019 General Assembly during the annual Legislative Preview on November 19.

In addition to the Chamber outlining some of the key issues for the year ahead, legislative caucus leaders or their representatives will participate in a popular panel discussion about the topics they anticipate deliberating in the upcoming legislative session.

You can expect to hear about the need to enhance workforce development initiatives, enact measures to reduce high smoking rates and the associated workplace and community costs, and efforts to improve quality of life in cities and towns throughout the state.

“The Indiana Chamber’s Government Affairs team, working on the guidance of public policy committees, strives to ensure pro-economy, pro-jobs legislation is moving through the Statehouse. This event is a great way to learn more about what we’ll be focusing on in 2019,” offers Indiana Chamber President and CEO Kevin Brinegar.

Presented by Ice Miller LLP, the Legislative Preview will take place the day before Organization Day, the official kickoff of the 2019 General Assembly session.

Event registration and a networking coffee break begin at 10 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis. The lunch program runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and coffee will be served again until 1:45 p.m. for the optional “Java to Go” break.

Registration is $55 for Indiana Chamber members.

Call Nick at (800) 824-6885 or visit the event page to register.
