2018-10-15T16:08:01+00:00October 15th, 2018|

Flagship Enterprise Center (FEC) has announced that Charles E. (Chuck) Staley, CEO and President, has informed the board of directors of his intention to retire. Chuck Staley has served as FEC’s President and CEO since 2003. Flagship’s board of directors has initiated a search process to identify a successor for Mr. Staley, in planning for his retirement in the fourth quarter of 2018. The process will include a review of both internal and external candidates. Daniel Courtney, Special Asst. to Anderson University President, will serve as interim CEO during the transition timeline.

“On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Chuck for his visionary leadership and contributions to the mission of Flagship, our community, and our state,” said Dennis Carroll, Chairman of the Board. “Under his leadership, Flagship has greatly advanced its impact as a business incubator and advanced stage business center supported by Anderson University, the City of Anderson, the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC), the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Corporation, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), and many others. Chuck has positioned Flagship for continued success. The leadership team of Flagship has never been stronger, and we look forward to a seamless transition.”

“The Flagship has had a very significant impact on Anderson, Madison County, and the State of Indiana, “ said Chuck Staley. “I am honored to have had a small part in that mission. I want to especially acknowledge our founding partners, Anderson University and the City of Anderson, for their leadership, support, and pioneering spirit.”
