For more than 10 years, the Indiana Chamber has conducted members-only Policy Issue Conference Calls. The goal is straightforward: Bring you the latest information you need to know on topics or developments at the state and federal levels.

The one-hour conversations offer expertise from the Chamber advocacy team and special guests. They also provide you the opportunity to ask questions or comment.

The lineup for the final three months of 2018, which will lead into General Assembly updates and discussions in early 2019:

  • October 5: Preview the 2018 election from an Indiana and Washington perspective. Guests: Jeff Brantley, vice president of political affairs and leader of the Chamber’s Indiana Business for Responsive Government political action committee, and Rob Engstrom, senior vice president and national political director at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
  • November 2: Retiring Indiana Senate president pro tem David Long will take a look back at his 22-year Statehouse career, including the last 12 years as Senate leader. The Fort Wayne Republican announced earlier this year that he would not be seeking re-election.
  • December 7: Learn what you can do to best stay informed about – or even better, participate in – the policy process. Members of the Chamber team will share communications strategies, the policy committee process, Statehouse logistics, connecting with the offices of your representatives and senators, and much more.

Listen and learn in the one-hour sessions. Register for any or all the calls – and encourage your appropriate team members to participate.
