Since the introduction of the Indiana Vision 2025 economic development plan in 2012, the Chamber’s BizVoice® magazine has produced more than 200 stories related to the four drivers. The current issue includes these offerings, and more, tied to the Dynamic and Creative Culture pillar:

  • Velocities is the new Elevate Ventures regional initiative bringing Bloomington and Columbus together. A number of assets – including The Mill in Bloomington and The Fish Tank in Columbus – are already in place. The collaboration is expected to “elevate” the current efforts to a new level.
  • Our ExecConnect conversation takes us to the Management Performance Hub (MPH) and executive director Darshan Shah. He outlines the work of the MPH thus far and the promising opportunities that exist – particularly with private-sector businesses.
  • Representatives of Indiana and Purdue universities outline some of the venture funding available to innovators and entrepreneurs. Learn more about the Indiana University Philanthropic Venture Fund and a variety of resources offered through Purdue. Some companies taking advantage are noted.

We encourage you to check out a number of other stories, including a look at the rock paper scissors public relations firm and the farm-to-table approach at Hotel Tango Artisan Distillery.

Although not technically falling under the Indiana Vision 2025 umbrella, we think you will be intrigued by the perspectives of four young business leaders from throughout the state. We asked them to weigh in on what they and their colleagues need to do to advance with their organizations and in their communities.
