Tech Talk, the Indiana Chamber’s twice monthly e-newsletter sponsored by Comcast Business, is the place to go for stories and analysis on the statewide issues, companies and people driving the industry. With Indiana fast becoming a Midwest tech hub, there is more information than ever in each edition. Here are just a few topics recently covered by Adam Berry, Chamber vice president of economic development and technology, and Anthony Schoettle, Chamber director of communications.

  • Indiana Lawmakers are pushing the pedal to the metal on electric vehicle infrastructure. The General Assembly recently passed a bill paving the way for a statewide proliferation of electric vehicle charging stations, a move certain to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles – passenger and commercial – across the state.
  • If you’re a business operator and you’re not on high alert for cyberattacks, you should be, U.S. cybersecurity experts say. As the Russian invasion into Ukraine drags on, the number of Russian cyberattacks has intensified, and it’s not unthinkable those could spread to the U.S. Small-and mid-sized companies could be especially at risk.
  • A growing number of sports teams, athletes and fans are eager to play in the fast-growing digital collectibles market. So is Simba Chain. The South Bend-based tech firm recently signed a deal to run a digital marketplace for one of Europe’s biggest soccer clubs. And Simba is expecting at least 15 more agreements to do likewise for sports teams and leagues worldwide this year.
