Katie Ittenbach, President of SMARI, LLC, was recently recruited to join the Missouri State University Customer Experience (CX) Certificate Program Board. Advisory Board members are selected because they are successful, thought leaders, and industry experts. Other board members include senior executives at companies such as Microsoft, Honeywell, Becton Dickinson, Shriners Hospital, Pfizer and New Balance.

The MSU Customer Experience Program was designed by professionals, for professionals, to develop new skills that they may take back to their companies, to implement, and make an immediate impact. Attendees will develop insights and an understanding of the experiences their customers are having with their brand and organization. Classes are fast-paced and interactive addressing new, innovative methodologies.

Customer Experience (CX) is the product of an interaction between an organization and a customer over the duration of their relationship. CX has many elements, but a lot of it is the perception the customer has of your brand. It’s basically the sum of all experiences a customer has with a brand. MSU and SMARI are working to make sure more brands are providing their customers with the best CX possible.

As an Advisory Member of this board, Katie hopes to bring her expertise on market research and CX to help provide relevant applications of data and insight into the continuously evolving world of CX.

“As technology advances and the customer’s expectations of brands increases, it is important that companies become ‘customer obsessed’ by developing an intimate understanding of their customer’s journey and interaction points with the brand. This is where research becomes mission critical,” said Katie.
