Hank Aaron with the Indianapolis Clowns

To celebrate Black History Month, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum today released very special Negro Leagues Mystery Bobblehead Boxes. Since 2019, the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum has worked with the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum to produce bobbleheads celebrating the players and teams of the Negro Leagues with proceeds going to the NLBM as well as the player’s families.

Perhaps of most interest to Hoosier sports fans is the bobblehead of Hank Aaron with the Indianapolis Clowns. The Clowns were Aaron’s first professional baseball team and he was with the team for a few months before signing with the Braves. Aaron would go on to have a career spanning over two decades in Major League Baseball and hit a staggering 755 home runs.

“We’re excited to be releasing these special Negro Leagues Myster Mystery Bobblehead Boxes in conjunction with Black History Month,” National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar says. “These boxes will give people a mix of some of our most popular Negro Leagues Bobbleheads from the past five years featuring legends like Satchel Paige, Hank Aaron, Cool Papa Bell and many of the other legends that played in the Negro Leagues making this a perfect opportunity to start a new collection or grow an existing collection.”

The boxes feature a mix of over 100 different Negro Leagues Bobbleheads featuring dozens of different players and styles. The Negro Leagues teams played throughout the country with some of the biggest stars and Hall of Famers playing in Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Philadelphia, Nashville, Baltimore, and Atlanta, and bobbleheads of those players and teams are included in the Mystery Boxes.

The mystery boxes give people the opportunity to get random Negro Leagues Bobbleheads at a discounted price.
