(INDIANAPOLIS) — Indiana Chamber of Commerce President and Hoosier Voices for I-69 Chairman Kevin Brinegar comments on today’s opening of Interstate 69 Section 4 in Greene and Monroe counties:

“Interstate 69 construction continues to progress north at a steady clip and that’s good news for the entire state. The opening of I-69 Section 4 is the latest important link in establishing a direct four-lane highway that connects Evansville and Indianapolis with the global economy.

“When fully completed, the I-69 extension will help further position Indiana as the Crossroads of America and an even more viable hub for business and job opportunities due to its improved transportation capabilities.”

Brinegar joined Gov. Mike Pence and other state and local leaders for today’s ribbon-cutting at the WestGate Academy in Odon and the caravan on the new 27-mile stretch near the Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center to south of Bloomington.
