Indiana Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Kevin Brinegar comments on the reported labor resolution between UPS and the Teamsters union, which represents about 340,000 of its workers:

“Preventing a work stoppage is commendable and the Indiana Chamber is pleased to see UPS can continue to dutifully serve its customer base, which includes many Hoosier businesses.

“UPS is a pivotal delivery service for the American economy and I’m happy to read the company’s CEO is calling this agreement a ‘win-win-win’ for its customers, employers and union leadership.”

The deal reportedly raises pay for both part-time and full-time workers and would adjust requirements for mandatory overtime.
