Ashton Eller

(INDIANAPOLIS) — The Indiana Chamber of Commerce has turned to a familiar face to round out its lobbying team. Ashton Eller, who has worked with the organization for more than 14 years – the last five as manager of political affairs – is its new vice president of health care policy and employment law.

Eller will replace longtime Indiana Chamber executive Mike Ripley, who retires at the end of the year.

The Indiana Chamber is the largest, broad-based business advocacy group in the state, representing businesses of all types and sizes throughout Indiana. President and CEO Kevin Brinegar offers praise for Eller.

“After casting a wide net and interviewing several great candidates, it became apparent that the right person for the job was already part of our organization. Ashton is a true professional with a tireless work ethic who has a deep understanding of what we do and why we do it. What also sets him apart is his demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with both legislators and our member companies.”

Prior to his time with the Indiana Chamber, Eller worked for two years at the Indiana Department of Labor. He also is a former president and member of the Indiana State Fair Board of Directors, elected from District 7.

“I am thrilled to continue my career with the Indiana Chamber. I believe whole-heartedly in its mission to push for public policies and offer programs that help provide economic opportunity and prosperity for businesses and individuals,” Eller says. “I look forward to the challenge of this new role and to start engaging with legislators in a different capacity.”

Eller holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Indiana University.

A Hamilton County native, Eller and his wife, Jessica, live in Westfield with their two daughters.
