(INDIANAPOLIS) — The Indiana Chamber of Commerce today announced its endorsement of Jen Bass-Patino (D-Zionsville) for election to the Indiana House of Representatives in District 25. The endorsement was made by Indiana Business for Responsive Government, the non-partisan political program of the Indiana Chamber.

Indiana House District 25 comprises portions of Boone and Hendricks counties, including Brownsburg and Zionsville. This is an open seat race with no incumbent legislator running for re-election.

“The Indiana Chamber is very pleased to endorse and support the election of Jen Bass-Patino to the Indiana House. She’s just the sort of thoughtful, professional, bipartisan leader to represent the voters and district at the Statehouse,” offers Kevin Brinegar, president and CEO of the Indiana Chamber. “Jen Bass-Patino understands business and complex enterprises, builds and manages talented teams, and takes seriously the responsibility of public service.”

A first-time candidate for political office, Bass-Patino is a scientist by training and currently works on clinical trials focused on curing rare diseases and cancer. She’s the mother of two teenage daughters who she says are her inspiration for wanting to give back to her community.
