While your Indiana Chamber is fielding many questions at this time related to COVID-19 and new opportunities and requirements tied to federal legislation, our members-only helplines have been in place for many years. They help address inquiries on anything from human resources issues and taxes to internships and communications.

“Many of the questions we are receiving now are about the Families First Act and how to handle an emergency sick leave,” says Michelle Kavanaugh, Indiana Chamber human resources director. “HR professionals are also researching the expanded Family and Medical Leave Act benefits due to the pandemic.”

The HR Helpline proves popular outside of the current unprecedented times. Employment law, wage and hour, worker’s compensation and other questions are among the most popular inquiries.

Additional helplines (listed below and online) are available to provide guidance on tax, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, environmental issues and more. All conversations are confidential.

Brock Hesler, vice president of membership and foundation relations, reiterates the importance of this member-only benefit. “The membership team is here to help your companies thrive. Keep our helpline numbers handy for when you have questions we can assist with.”
