You invest in your employees. Engage them in decision-making. Recognize hard work and accomplishments. Those qualities are something to be proud of – and potential recruitment and retention tools. Don’t keep your outstanding workplace culture a secret! Apply for the 2021 Best Places to Work in Indiana program.

The Indiana Chamber, in partnership with the Best Companies Group, is presenting Best Places to Work for the 16th consecutive year. Winners are chosen from four categories – major, large, medium and small. Companies with a minimum of 15 employees working in the state of Indiana are eligible to participate.

How do employers make the list? Via an employer benefits and policies questionnaire and an anonymous companywide employee survey. Winners are announced in February, with the rankings unveiled at a fast-paced, high-energy celebration in the spring.

All applicants receive a comprehensive employer feedback report highlighting strengths and opportunities for improvement. These past winners share some of the benefits of participation:

  • “Over the years, our employees have told us they would like more professional development opportunities, increased performance feedback and flexible working hours. We have proudly implemented these changes and found our employees to be happier and more successful.”

Clayton Jennings, president, Hylant-Fort Wayne, and David Norris, president, Hylant-Indianapolis

  • “Ultimately, the best thing about the Best Places to Work awards program is how it encourages honest feedback from associates. Winning awards is great, but Busey’s real motivation to participate in this program is to build upon our service-minded culture, ensuring we’re a best place for associates to work.”

Joe Kirsch, executive vice president and commercial market president, Busey Bank

  • “This process helps us gain insight into critical employee satisfaction indicators like overall employee engagement and family-friendly benefits.”Anthony Warren, Ph.D., president, Shrewsberry
