– With President Trump signing the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Flexibility Act into law last week, it triggered the easing of conditions for small businesses.

Said U.S. Senator Mike Braun, “This (new) legislation will help restaurants and other businesses by extending the PPP loan use from two months to six, allowing companies to defer their payroll taxes, and lowering the threshold used on payroll from 75% to 60%.”

– A June 4 executive order from the President will further expedite the permitting process for infrastructure projects. The White House said the impetus was to help the economy recover more quickly. This action is in line with the Chamber’s Road to Recovery policy agenda to see a permanent withdrawal of appropriate regulations waived during the pandemic.

– The Chamber’s 2020 D.C. Fly-in will be a virtual event this August and allow for many more to speak directly to and hear from Indiana’s congressional delegation. A date and additional details are expected to be finalized this month.
