Do you believe in magic?

Magic is difficult to achieve – let alone describe. But the 2023 Best Places to Work in Indiana exude precisely that. The “best” part? Their employees are taking the proverbial stage in spreading that message throughout the state, as employee feedback plays a pivotal role in who qualifies.

Who’s on the list, what are the criteria and how does a company apply for the 2024 round? We’ve got the highlights below and additional details in our press release.

Snapshot:

  • Honorees and rankings were determined through employer reports and a comprehensive, anonymous employee survey. The Workforce Research Group handled the selection process.
  • 125 honorees across four categories (small, medium, large and major)
  • Annual celebration featuring a live band, dining and an endless supply of camaraderie took place May 10, with approximately 1,100 in attendance!
  • The current issue of BizVoice® magazine – the leading statewide business magazine and a publication of the Indiana Chamber – spotlights winners with company profiles, stories, photos and more

These excerpts from BizVoice stories help illustrate the magic that winners possess:

netlogyx (No. 1, small category): “The owners very much have a policy of, ‘We want you to try and if you put in your best effort but don’t succeed, that’s totally fine. We want you to take that risk and try to be as successful as you can.’ It really fosters this culture of people who are willing to take initiative. The culture that the owners have cultivated has gone far in helping me with my career and letting me take that initiative to grow myself.” – Senior consultant Tyler Fosnaugh

TrueScripts (No. 1, medium category): “Here at TrueScripts, everyone is created equally. We all have titles and those are important, but if we’re not respectful and good people, titles mean nothing, and you’ll be figured out really quickly. So, connections are all about getting to know each other.” – President and CEO Dean Merder

Centric Consulting (No. 1, large category): “When I was being hired, I initially thought everything I heard about this company can’t be true. But as the hiring process went on, I could see everything that was said about Centric’s culture and the way the company treats its clients and its employees is real.” – Raquel Richardson, director and Indianapolis practice lead

Edward Jones (No. 1, major category): “We really are taking (our first) 100 years and trying to catapult ourselves into the next 100. There’s a lot of change coming, but it’s all very positive. … (Corporate is) taking a lot of feedback from every employee, every financial advisor, every branch office administrator – really trying to get this right. Change obviously is never easy, but it’s something that as you work through it together, it’s an exciting process.” – Patrick Lane, an Edward Jones partner and financial advisor who serves on the Indianapolis leadership team
