Applications Due November 21
(INDIANAPOLIS) — Indiana companies and organizations are encouraged to explore what makes them a great place to work. The Indiana Chamber of Commerce has opened nominations for its annual Best Places to Work in Indiana competition.
The awards program – in its 21st year, and with a “Walk of Fame” theme – honors top organizations in the state as determined through employer reports and comprehensive employee surveys. Company evaluations and the selection process are administered by Workforce Research Group.
“Having great places to work is paramount for any community that wants to have a thriving business sector and economy,” says Indiana Chamber President and CEO Vanessa Green Sinders. “Of course, they’re magnets for talent and drive economic prosperity in our state, but these stellar workplaces – and the employees that work there – also give rise to a bevy of charitable initiatives and quality-of-life improvements that truly make their communities attractive for residents and visitors.”
Sinders adds, “The innovative ways in which these companies not only attract and retain talent but care for their employees are a true inspiration.”
To take part, employers complete a questionnaire and employees fill out an anonymous engagement and satisfaction survey. All companies that apply will receive a thorough report analyzing strengths and opportunities for improvement in their workplace culture.
Winners are chosen in five groups: small companies of between 15 and 34 U.S. employees; small-medium companies of between 35 and 74 U.S. employees; medium companies of between 75 and 249 U.S. employees; large companies of between 250 and 999; and major companies with 1,000 or more U.S. employees.
The application deadline is Friday, November 21. To apply, visit www.bestplacestoworkindiana.com.
The selected companies will be honored on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the Best Places to Work awards dinner at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis.
Winners also will be recognized via a special supplement to the Indiana Chamber’s award-winning BizVoice® magazine and through Inside INdiana Business – both of which reach statewide audiences.
Program partners with the Indiana Chamber are Workforce Research Group, HR Indiana SHRM, Institute for Workforce Excellence, Wellness Council of Indiana, BizVoice and Inside INdiana Business.
