2017-09-06T12:44:28+00:00 June 5th, 2017|

(INDIANAPOLIS) — The Indiana Chamber of Commerce is offering the opportunity for Hoosiers to learn new skills in the setting of one of Indiana’s most well-known destination: French Lick Springs Hotel.

Two conferences – Advanced HR Management Seminar, and Supervising and Managing People – will each take place over two days at the hotel,
which is tucked into the foothills of the Hoosier National Forest in southern Indiana.

Both conferences will take place July 20-21. Event details:

  • The Advanced HR Management Seminar was created in 2016 and inspired by feedback from previous conference attendees. Participants will learn about the significance of marijuana legislation and the impact of the opioid epidemic on the workplace. Key issues regarding FMLA and the Americans with Disabilities Act will also be discussed. List price: $599; Indiana Chamber member cost: $499.
  • The Supervising and Managing People Workshop is ideal for new and experienced supervisors. The Indiana Chamber has been presenting this workshop for more than a decade to help Hoosier employers train staff members taking on leadership roles. Attendees can gain a better understanding of what is expected of a supervisor and will take a self-assessment test to measure performance in supervisory skills. List price: $699; Indiana Chamber member cost: $599.

Group discounts are available and lunch is provided on both days of the seminars. The Supervising and Managing People Workshop is eligible for continuing education credits; credits are pending for the Advanced HR Management Seminar.

Space is limited for both events. Visit www.indianachamber.com/conferences to register today.

Additionally, the 2017 Indiana Wage & Hour Law Seminar will be held July 27 at the Indiana Chamber Conference Center in downtown Indianapolis. Presented by Ice Miller, this seminar will address tactics to keep your company in compliance with wage and hour laws and update attendees on potential federal changes.
