Last week, state Sen. Greg Taylor (D-Indianapolis) was selected the new leader of the Indiana Senate Democratic Caucus. He succeeds Sen. Tim Lanane (D-Anderson). Senator Taylor is the first Black leader of a legislative caucus in Indiana.
In addition, other selected caucus positions were:
- Sen. Eddie Melton (D-Gary), assistant minority leader;
- Sen. J.D. Ford (D-Indianapolis), minority caucus chair;
- Sen. Lonnie Randolph (D-East Chicago), minority whip; and
