The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum recently released a pair of officially licensed “Butler War Song” bobbleheads featuring the school’s mascot, “Hink.” The unique bobbleheads play the fight song at the push of a button and the new bobbleheads join dozens of other new college offerings released throughout the month of September.

“We’re excited to unveil this new Butler Bulldog bobblehead in conjunction with the start of the new school year,” says National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum co-founder and CEO Phil Sklar. “This bobblehead will be the perfect way for Butler fans, alumni, students, faculty and staff to show off their school pride!”

The bobbleheads are now available in the museum’s online store for $35 each plus a flat-rate shipping charge of $8 per order. Each bobblehead is individually numbered to 2,024.

Some background for Butler fans: Named in honor of former athletic director and coach Paul D. “Tony” Hinkle, Butler’s costumed mascot, “Hink,” was officially given his name in 2009. Chuck Schisla, a 1960 Butler graduate, was credited with coming up with the name as part of a contest. The costumed bulldog first appeared more than 60 years ago. And written by John Heiney, the “Butler War Song” was adopted as the school’s fight song in 1926.

The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and opened to the public in 2019.
