Ogletree Deakins Business Leader of the Year

The Ogletree Deakins Business Leader of the Year recognizes an outstanding individual who has demonstrated exceptional leadership within the Hoosier business community. The winner is selected for the success of their company as a business and an employer. Additionally, the honoree will display an exceptional commitment to inspire, develop and influence others in their workplace and community.

2020 Government Leader of the Year: Indiana Health Commissioner Dr. Kristina Box

Bayh-Lugar Government Leader of the Year

Named after the state’s most iconic public servants, former U.S. Sens. Birch Bayh (D) and Richard Lugar (R), this is the Chamber’s annual recognition for an Indiana local, state or federal  government official. The winner is selected based on actions taken for the betterment of Hoosiers and/or to improve the Hoosier business climate.

2023 Community of the Year: Boone County

NextEra Energy Resources Community of the Year

Attention mayors and local officials: It’s time to tout all the great things happening in your areas! This NextEra Energy Resources Community of the Year award goes to a deserving Hoosier community – city/town or county – that boasts significant contributions to its local business climate and overall image.

2022 Dynamic Leader of the Year: Rupal Thanawala (Trident Systems)

Yamaha Dynamic Leader of the Year

The Yamaha Dynamic Leader of the Year recognizes an outstanding individual who has demonstrated impact that extends beyond their organization by working in support of the goals outlined in the Chamber’s Indiana Prosperity 2035 plan. Past winners represent innovative leaders, exemplary role models and/or strategic collaborators. Additionally, the honoree will display a staunch commitment to positively influence others in their workplace and community.

2023 honoree: Mario Rodriguez, Indianapolis Airport Authority

NEW: Young Professional of the Year

This is the debut for the Chamber’s Young Professional of the Year award given to an individual age 40 or younger who has already accomplished so much to better themselves, their employer and community. Traits the honoree will possess include leadership, integrity, being a team player, social responsibility and continually striving for improvement and increased knowledge.
