Three internal staffing changes will allow the Chamber to further utilize our team’s talents and enhance the services we deliver to our members. We are pleased to share these updates – which involve our business education and events division, Wellness Council of Indiana (WCI) and the Indiana Chamber Foundation – with you!
Jennifer George has been named vice president of business education and events. George’s tenure with the Chamber spans nearly two and a half decades, with almost all that time spent on the business education and events team. Her experience brings valuable institutional knowledge and a deep understanding of our programs, partners and purpose, as well as a clear vision for the business education and events division.
Jennifer Pferrer will be taking on a new role that will split her time between the WCI and the Chamber Foundation. She is now going to serve as vice president of impact and development. In this capacity, Pferrer will continue to be engaged in a leadership capacity with the WCI but also take on added responsibilities and assist Todd Hurst (senior vice president, strategic partnerships & impact) with the Foundation. Specifically, she will be leading the Chamber’s efforts related to expanding fundraising strategies for the Foundation and working with key partners.
Ashley O’Rourke has been promoted to the role of executive director of the WCI. She’s served as a great leader within the WCI and this change of role provides her with the opportunity to continue to grow and develop further.
We’re excited about these changes and look forward to seeing all three thrive in their new roles!
