(INDIANAPOLIS) — Star employers were out tonight as the Indiana Chamber of Commerce celebrated the Best Places to Work in Indiana companies. This year, rankings were revealed in five categories at the awards dinner, which was presented by KSM (Katz, Sapper & Miller) and held at the Indiana Convention Center. This marked the 21st anniversary for the popular program.

The theme of this year’s celebration was ‘Walk of Fame,” with top employers enjoying the red carpet treatment, especially those coming in at No. 1:

  • JA Benefits, LLC, a Bedford-based employee benefits company – small category (between 15 and 34 U.S. employees)
  • CSpring, an IT services and consulting company in Indianapolis – small-medium category (between 35 and 74 U.S. employees)
  • E-gineering, Inc., a custom software solutions provider in Indianapolis – medium category (between 75 and 249 U.S. employees)
  • McGohan Brabender, an Indianapolis-based benefits broker – large category (between 250 and 999 U.S. employees)
  • CAPTRUST, a financial management firm with Indiana locations in Chesterton and Indianapolis – major category (1,000 or more U.S. employees)

This was CSpring’s first time ascending to the top spot, while E-gineering, JA Benefits, McGohan Brabender and CAPTRUST have all been No. 1 at least once before. For JA Benefits, it marked the sixth top finish in eight years.

“We’re proud to celebrate 150 Hoosier employers that consistently put their people first,” explains Indiana Chamber President and CEO Vanessa Green Sinders. “It’s inspiring to highlight the ways each organization is innovating and intentionally fostering workplace cultures that improve employees’ lives. Seeing the emphasis on meaningful amenities, open dialogue and well-rounded support is incredibly encouraging – and offers a strong model for what’s possible.”

Winning organizations represent nearly 30 cities and towns, with multiple honorees coming from Bloomington, Carmel, Evansville, Fishers, Fort Wayne, Goshen, Indianapolis, Marion, Noblesville, South Bend and Washington. In addition, several businesses have multiple Indiana locations.

The 2026 Best Places to Work in Indiana companies range in Hoosier employee count from 16 to 2,400. Honorees and rankings were determined through employer reports and a comprehensive, anonymous employee survey. The Workforce Research Group handled the selection process.

All companies that participated in the 2026 Best Places to Work program receive an in-depth evaluation identifying strengths and weaknesses according to their employees. In turn, this report can be used in developing or enhancing employee retention and recruitment programs.

Additional program partners are HR Indiana SHRM, Institute for Workforce Excellence, Wellness Council of Indiana and Workforce Research Group.
