(INDIANAPOLIS) — The past year has seen no shortage of changes in employment law policies. The Indiana Chamber is helping employers navigate these changes in the upcoming 20th edition of its popular Employment Law Handbook. Authored by attorneys at Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, this is a comprehensive and user-friendly guide covering the most current Indiana and federal employment laws.

Specifically, it’s designed to assist the business community in its effort to comply with the numerous and often complex employment laws affecting Hoosier businesses.

“Our new Employment Law Handbook provides employers necessary direction and guidance on laws and is a critical resource to help keep up with this ever-changing landscape,” says Jennifer George, vice president of business education and events. “This has long been our most popular book, and we’re pleased to continue its publication to help keep Indiana employers in compliance.”

Among its content, this new version contains changes to the federal tax code for tipped employees and changes in the tax treatment of overtime; federal and Indiana law changes related to the ability of 16- and 17-year olds to work; President Trump’s executive order to eliminate the use of disparate impact liability in employment matters; and the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision related to religions accommodations in the workplace.

The book, available at www.indianachamber.com/publications, is available for $135 for Indiana Chamber members ($179 for non-members) and the ePub can be purchased for $109.
