Established in 1945, Little Red Door Cancer Agency is Central Indiana’s oldest and most trusted cancer resource. Our mission is to make the most of life and the least of cancer. For over 80 years, we have been committed to reducing the physical, emotional, and financial burdens that cancer imposes, specifically on low-income, medically underserved Hoosiers. By fostering a culture of compassionate care within a supportive environment, we ensure each client has the necessary resources and assistance to navigate their cancer journey with dignity and hope.
Cancer is more than a medical diagnosis; it is a life-altering event that exacerbates existing vulnerabilities and creates new challenges. Social determinants of health—such as access to nutritious food, transportation, and physical activity—play a critical role in determining an individual’s cancer treatment outcomes. Therefore, our philosophy is rooted in the belief that meeting the basic needs of our clients is vital to ensuring they have the best possible chance of successful treatment, recovery, and improved quality of life. By focusing on the holistic well-being of each client, we alleviate many barriers that prevent timely cancer care.
Little Red Door serves adults in: Blackford, Boone, Delaware, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Jay, Johnson, Madison, Marion, Morgan, Shelby and Randolph; and serves youth in all 92 counties throughout Indiana.
