Sen. Todd Young was among esteemed speakers at the inaugural AI Summit.

The Indiana Chamber Foundation held the inaugural AI Leadership Summit yesterday as part of Rally, which was a two-day event presented by Elevate Ventures that welcomed attendees from around the world to the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.

Indiana Chamber President and CEO Vanessa Green Sinders kicked off the summit with opening remarks. The summit was largely the manifestation of Sinders’ vision for the Chamber to be a thought leader on subject areas that are critical to Indiana’s future.

“AI will continue to impact business – and all aspects of Indiana’s economy – in so many ways that we have yet to even imagine,” Sinders said.

She added, “Whether you’re an innovator, investor, policymaker, lawmaker, academic or business leader, we hope today’s conversation serves as a launching point for future dialogue and furthers the work you do.”

The summit featured subject matter experts who shared their views on AI’s future impact on four key industries: life sciences, agbioscience, logistics and transportation, and advanced manufacturing. A true highlight of the event was U.S. Senator Todd Young (R-IN) providing an update on the happenings in Washington, D.C. concerning AI, as well as his perspective regarding Indiana solidifying its position of strength for attracting tech businesses, talent and investments.

The Indiana Chamber Foundation’s partners for the summit were the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership and Accenture, both of which provided tremendous value leading up to and during the summit with their in-house AI experts. In October, the Indiana Chamber Foundation will release its post-summit report that will include data about the state of AI in Indiana and industry use cases that will supplement content curated from yesterday’s summit.

The Indiana Chamber will undoubtedly continue the conversation and help map the course for embracing a future, AI-infused Hoosier economy.
