In 2023, Kirby Risk representatives collaborated with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development Business Services team to extend job opportunities to Spanish-speaking Hoosiers. They sought to enhance success on the job by providing English learning. The employer was linked to DWD’s adult education team and, subsequently, LARA Lafayette Adult Resource Academy. With DWD funding, 10 workers completed English learning lessons in the initial classes, and there’s now a waitlist for more staff to take part.
