A usually outgoing employee is withdrawn and less productive. A colleague expresses frustration with blood sugar levels that continue to rise despite efforts to reverse them. And another team member has confided in you several times about a desire to stop smoking, but is struggling to follow through. Employers can protect their workplaces – and educate employees – by participating in free virtual mental, diabetes and tobacco strategy consultations.
The diabetes and smoking consultations are presented by the Wellness Council of Indiana (WCI), in cooperation with the Indiana State Department of Health, Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Commission and Chronic Disease Division. The mental health consultations are presented through a grant with Anthem.
WCI staff is providing personalized consulting services to help organizations expand their wellness initiatives.
