We’re proud to have the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) as a member of the Indiana Chamber. And like the Indiana Chamber, EXIM exists to support businesses. It’s an independent federal agency that fills gaps in private export finance in order to bolster U.S. job growth at no cost to American taxpayers. Furthermore, EXIM provides trade financing solutions – including export credit insurance, working capital guarantees and guarantees of commercial loans to foreign buyers – to empower exporters of U.S. goods and services.
EXIM’s newest Chair, Reta Jo Lewis, was recently sworn in by Vice President of the United States Kamala Harris and is the first Black woman and person of color to head EXIM since its founding 88 years ago. Lewis’ first order of business is to promote one of her biggest priorities: export support for women, minority and underserved businesses across the board.
This video was recently made by EXIM to celebrate Women’s History Month.
