The state’s largest safety and health conference will be presented in a fully virtual format this year due to COVID-19-related restrictions. The 2021 Indiana Safety and Health Conference & Expo, which takes place March 1-3, will feature more than 70 educational sessions to keep Hoosier workers safe while on the job. New this year is a variety of COVID-19 programming.
The three-day event is presented by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and Central Indiana Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals, in partnership with INSafe Indiana and the Coalition for Construction Safety. Gibson is the lead conference sponsor.
Speakers will be available for an interactive Q&A during their live presentations. All sessions will be recorded, permitting attendees to continue viewing content after the official conference dates (until September 1) to help those pursuing continuing education credits.
The conference’s two keynote speakers are John Drebinger, president of John Drebinger Presentations, and Shawn Galloway, president of ProAct Safety.
Drebinger’s address, “Safety for Effective Leaders: Empowering People to Work Safely,” will focus on the mindset of world-class safety leaders and how to empower staff to make safety a priority. Galloway will present “Shaping the Future of Safety Excellence” and stress the importance of building safety into a company’s operational plan.
On day three of the conference, the 2021 Governor’s Workplace Safety Awards will be presented during the lunch hour.
