New Year’s Day may already seem like a fading memory, but there are still plenty of “new” reasons to celebrate in 2021. The 15th Annual IMPACT Awards will spotlight the development of new talent, the creation of new career opportunities and new, fresh ways to inspire interns.

Even the event will be presented in a new way – virtually.

Tune in on February 23 from 12-1 p.m. as Indiana INTERNnet honors excellence in nine categories recognizing Hoosier students, employers and educators. Nominations are submitted by the public and winners are chosen by a group of impartial judges. The event also will include presentation of the David R. McKinnis Community Partner award.

“We received more than 100 nominations,” observes operations manager Caitlyn Beck. “Although COVID-19 led some employers to cancel or postpone internship offerings, there were many that found ways to continue providing quality internships. We’re excited to acknowledge the winners and nominees.”

“Given the chaos and hardships of 2020, it’s more important than ever to celebrate these interns,” Beck emphasizes. “We’re looking forward to recognizing these innovative and inspiring employers and people who support intern development.”
