If one believes, as the saying goes, that variety is indeed the spice of life, then we hope you enjoyed a very “spicy” IN Chamber podcast experience in 2020.

Each conversation, of course, is unique in its own right. But in setting up each episode, we strive to bring many different perspectives to the microphone. In addition, we make the special effort to go behind the professional accomplishments and dig into the personal attributes and stories.

How does one determine his or her favorite conversations of 2020? That, of course, is an individual choice. The 2020 portion of Season 3 began with Indiana historian extraordinaire Ray Boomhower and included 14 additional episodes. Brian Cuban, national mental health advocate, was the guest in the first of 10 (so far) Season 4 episodes.

A few conversations of note:

  • Pre-pandemic campus “visits” included presidents Deborah Curtis of Indiana State University and Greg Hess, then of Wabash College. We closed the month of March with Ronald Rochon of the University of Southern Indiana
  • Innovation came to the forefront in the form of Rob Martens of Allegion and Elliott Parker of High Alpha Innovation. How they innovate today and what it means for the business of tomorrow are highlighted
  • Young professionals only carry that moniker in age, not accomplishments. Max Brickman, 28, leads the venture capital efforts at Heartland Ventures; Samantha “Sammy” Johnson-Helms, 31, blends musical talent with a business background in her new role at the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra
  • Personal stories of addiction, despair and, most importantly, recovery were inspiring from the aforementioned Cuban and Kimberly Lewis
