25-year industry veteran brings expertise to country’s fourth-largest van line
INDIANAPOLIS – In a move that shows the Indianapolis van line’s commitment to growth, Wheaton World Wide Moving | Bekins Van Lines has appointed Tim Hall as Vice President of Business Development. Hall reports to President and CEO Jim Gaw.
Hall joins Wheaton | Bekins from Atlas World Group International, where he served as Vice President of Business Development. In that role he led commercial sales channels, national accounts and consumer sales. He has more than 25 years of experience in relocation, household goods moving and related technology and is a member of Worldwide ERC and the Society for Human Resource Management.
“As a regional sales director for Bekins Van Lines back in the early 2000s, I was able to help build the Bekins sales force and get to know the agent partners,” Hall said. “They all held so much passion for the brand, and now that they are part of the Wheaton | Bekins network with the steady hand of the van line backing operations, I’m excited to return to assist with further growth.”
With the housing market down, the moving industry continues to contract. In the past 14 years, Wheaton | Bekins has met that challenge through strategic acquisitions. At this stage, though, the strategy shifts to bring more industry knowledge to bear to better compete within the current marketplace.
“Tim’s experience in the industry across multiple business lines will be crucial for expansion for Wheaton | Bekins,” Gaw said. “His deep knowledge of commercial sales, national accounts, and consumer sales will allow him to coach his sales directors how to best develop new business in a harsh moving climate.”
Wheaton | Bekins is located at 8010 Castleton Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46250. Staff can be reached by phone at (800) 932-7799 or online at wheatonworldwide.com and bekins.com.
