INDIANAPOLIS – Spring break is almost here, and many of us are getting ready to head out of town, visit family, or take a few days to reset. Before your plans begin, Versiti is asking neighbors across Indiana to make one simple stop that can make a lifesaving difference: donate blood.
Recent bouts of inclement weather can disrupt blood drives and appointments. When that happens, donations drop quickly, but the need in our local hospitals does not. Patients still rely on blood every day for emergencies, surgeries, cancer treatment, chronic conditions, and complications from childbirth. A steady blood supply helps hospitals stay ready, especially when schedules have been thrown off.
If you are traveling for spring break, please make your donation before you leave. It is one of the easiest ways to support your community in a real, immediate way. Your hour can help make sure blood is available for a patient in an Indiana hospital when it is needed most.
How you can help:
- Book an appointment now at a Versiti donor center or a nearby blood drive.
- Donate before your trip so you do not have to worry about fitting it in later.
- Bring someone with you and make it a shared act of care for our community.
One clear ask: Make your donation before spring break and help support the local Indiana community.
