VALPARAISO – The Valparaiso University Police Department (VUPD) has been named a 2024 grant recipient by Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation®. Through the grant, the VUPD will receive eight Kenwood mobile radios, four portable radios and accessories valued up to $31,583.
“I am ecstatic and thankful that Firehouse Subs gives back to our communities by supporting the emergency responders that protect and serve them,” VUPD Chief of Police Charles Garber Jr. said. “These radios will enhance communications between our agency and the other local, county, and state agencies that we work with routinely.”
