STAR Financial Group is pleased to announce Casey Cox has been named to the role of Chief Administrative Officer. His role as general counsel for the organization will continue and will also include direct reporting from enterprise risk, audit, fraud investigation and the organization’s facilities and physical security teams.

Cox was named to this role to create an administrative department structure that focuses on risk and related areas, which is increasingly common among financial institutions approximating $3 billion in assets.

“I’m pleased to fill this new and exciting role at STAR,” Cox said. “In managing STAR’s legal, compliance, fraud, audit and physical security matters, our team will focus on furthering the culture of trust and integrity that our customers have come to expect from STAR.”

In addition to his new responsibilities, Cox will continue to oversee all legal and compliance manners that pertain to STAR Financial Group and its subsidiaries, and will remain Secretary of the Board of Directors of STAR Financial Group and STAR Financial Bank, overseeing shareholder relations and corporate governance matters.

Cox joined STAR Bank as its general counsel in 2018. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University Bloomington and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Maurer School of Law at Indiana University in Bloomington. Cox has practiced law in Fort Wayne since 2007 and served in the Indiana House of Representatives from 2013 to 2016.

He serves on the Board of Directors at SCAN, Inc. and acts as the Chairman of the Public Policy & Board Governance Committee.
