STAR Financial Bank announces the promotion of Trent Dowling to regional president of commercial banking. Dowling has 23 years of experience in banking, including over 16 years with STAR. At STAR, Dowling has served businesses and clients in Anderson, Muncie, and the surrounding communities.

“Trent’s leadership style continues that of his predecessor, Tom Miller. He is intently focused on the team and the client experience. He holds a strong belief of the benefit communities receive from a community bank’s local leadership. At STAR, we are proud to have Trent as the next leader to serve the communities in our Central Region.” said Kevin Wright, executive vice president commercial banking, STAR Bank.

Dowling serves his community as a volunteer, active church member and boys basketball coach. He serves as a board member or in officer roles at The Community Foundation of Muncie & Delaware County, The Hopewell Center, Meridian Health Services and Anderson Revolving Loan Fund. Dowling received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ball State University in Muncie. He lives in east central Indiana with his wife of 22 years and two sons.

“I want to thank STAR for this opportunity and thank Tom Miller for all he has done for me and the communities in our Central Region. I look forward to continuing STAR’s legacy as a Community Bank focused on our customers,” said Trent Dowling.
