Darby McCarty, chairman and CEO of Smithville, announced that accomplished industry professional Erica Dooley-Dorocke has joined Smithville as vice president of marketing. Dooley-Dorocke comes to Smithville from Solution Tree, a global education professional development company, where she previously held national senior executive marketing positions, including Chief Marketing Officer.

Presently a member of the Indiana University adjunct faculty in Bloomington, Dooley-Dorocke served more than six years in executive positions at Solution Tree. Before that she achieved national success in a number of senior marketing positions, including director of U.S. Marketing Operations at Author Solutions, a Penguin Random House Company.

After graduating from Indiana University in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree, Dooley-Dorocke earned a master’s in business administration from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver.
