Financial services pro receives the 2023 Impression Award

INDIANAPOLIS — Bloomington native and business leader Ron Remak* was recently honored by OneAmerica Financial Partners, Inc., for his outstanding contributions in financial services. He’s the recipient of the 2023 Impression Award, which honors a general agent who has made an indelible mark in their profession and community.

Remak is president and owner of Bill C. Brown Associates, a longstanding financial services agency in Bloomington.

“Ron’s leadership in our industry and community is unwavering,” said Mark Scalercio, senior vice president of distribution for Individual Life and Financial Services at OneAmerica. “His steadfast commitment to building great relationships has left a lasting impression on thousands of people. He embodies our OneAmerica values and is the ideal leader to receive this honor.”

Remak is a longtime member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and received the trade association’s highest honor for a life insurance professional in the state of Indiana.

He has led agency participation in various community causes, including:

  • Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kid’s Sake
  • Monroe County United Ministries annual food drive
  • Hoosiers Outrun Cancer
  • Generosity Feeds

He serves on the Riley Children’s Foundation Board and is the former president of the Bloomington Association of Life Underwriters. In 2016, he was named Rotarian Man of the Year.

Remak is a 1979 graduate of the Indiana University Kelley School of Business and has been honored by the university for his contributions to IU athletics.
