With ships at the docks just waiting to unload, projected shortages at retailers, truck driver issues, and challenges with employee absenteeism and retention, the supply chain has been in the news a lot lately.

Are our global supply chain problems ones that will demand some fundamental change, or are they the natural outcome when demand grows rapidly and supply is curtailed?

Join the Purdue University Research Center in Economics (PURCE) and faculty speaker Dr. Ananth Iyer for an in-person or virtual discussion of these issues. Supply chain expert Iyer will provide some data, suggest ways to understand supply chain challenges, and explore steps companies are taking to manage these challenges.

Professor Ananth Iyer is Senior Associate Dean at the Krannert School of Management, as well as the Susan Bulkeley Butler Chair in Operations Management and the head of the management department.

Your host will be PURCE Kozuch director Dr. Kevin Mumford, and we’ll save time for a Q&A.
