OneAmerica® today announced the appointment of Brandi Davis-Handy to lead its internal communications, public relations and meeting planning functions of the Indianapolis-based financial services company. Davis-Handy brings 17 years of communications, marketing and stakeholder management experience to her role.
Prior to OneAmerica, Brandi most recently served as the U.S. communications leader for The AES Corporation, where she was responsible for the external and internal communications strategy. Previously, she led communications efforts at Indianapolis Power & Light Company, American Cancer Society and the 500 Festival. An Indianapolis native, she started her career in broadcast journalism after earning her undergraduate degree from Hampton University.
“OneAmerica is fortunate to add the talents of Brandi to lead our communications and meetings teams at OneAmerica,” said Kelly Huntington, OneAmerica senior vice president for enterprise strategy. “Telling our stories, both internally and externally, and creating meaningful experiences for our associates and business partners can only amplify our successes and share our values and culture with broader audiences.”
Highly engaged in the Indianapolis community, Davis-Handy serves on the boards of 500 Festival, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana, Dress for Success of Indianapolis and Lynx Capital Corporation. She was recognized as a Center for Leadership Development Minority Achiever in 2017 and as a Rising Star by the Indianapolis Star in 2012.
“The recent growth and success at OneAmerica only compliments their long-term history and significant role in the Indianapolis community,” said Davis-Handy. “I look forward to serving the organization and to creating new opportunities for storytelling and our demonstrated commitment to customers and policy holders.”
