INDIANAPOLIS – MS-IL Staffing & Packaging, a comprehensive workforce solutions provider serving manufacturers, warehouses and production facilities, announced the launch of a new forklift simulator program designed to strengthen how forklift candidates are evaluated before they are placed on assignment.

The immersive technology gives applicants an opportunity to demonstrate practical skills in a controlled, virtual warehouse environment before operating equipment at a customer facility. Using genuine forklift controls and performance analytics, the simulator can evaluate maneuvering, load handling, operational awareness, and safety behavior across multiple forklift types.

For MS-IL customers, the simulator adds a new layer of insight to the screening process. Recruiters and operations teams can use objective performance data to better understand an applicant’s readiness, identify potential skill gaps and support more informed placement decisions. By moving part of the evaluation process into a simulation, MS-IL also aims to reduce screening time, improve consistency and help customers receive candidates whose demonstrated abilities more closely align with the demands of the job.

“This simulator allows us to see more of a candidate’s capabilities before placement, while creating a safer environment for evaluation. It is a meaningful investment in our associates, our customers and the future of the manufacturing workforce,” said Leticia Snoddy, Founder and Owner of MS-IL Staffing & Packaging.

The launch reflects MS-IL’s broader commitment to workforce innovation and manufacturing safety. Simulation creates a low-risk setting where candidates can be observed without exposing people, products, or equipment to the hazards of an initial live equipment evaluation.

The simulator is not a replacement for required employer-specific training, certification or site orientation. Instead, it serves as a value-added pre-placement assessment that can complement those processes and help employers focus their time and resources where they are needed most.

MS-IL recently introduced the technology through demonstrations at its Indianapolis corporate office, giving customers a firsthand look at how virtual simulation can support candidate evaluation and workforce readiness. The company plans to expand its use of simulation technology as part of a larger effort to modernize screening, strengthen placement quality and champion safer workplaces across the manufacturing and logistics sectors.
