Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance announces that Jeff McDonald has been promoted to senior vice president of the Property and Casualty companies, effective January 1, 2021.

McDonald began his career with Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance in 2009 as director and chief actuary, Product Management Solutions. He was promoted in 2015 to executive director and chief actuary, Product Management Solutions. He was promoted to vice president and chief actuary of the Property and Casualty companies in 2017.

“Jeff is an extremely talented professional who adds a comprehensive understanding of the industry and our companies,” said Kevin Murphy, who was also recently promoted to executive vice president and chief executive officer (CEO) effective January 1. “He is invaluable to the company, and we look forward to his insights and leadership that will continue to drive our success.”

In the 14 years prior to joining the company, McDonald served in various insurance industry leadership roles. He is a fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).

McDonald earned a Bachelor of Science degree in actuarial science from Ball State University. He and his wife, Amanda, and their three children reside in Fishers.
