Ice Miller LLP is pleased to welcome Alex Beatty as an associate in the Firm’s Real Estate Group. Alex advises clients on real estate transactions that include purchasing, selling and leasing properties. Alex also assists clients with their land use, zoning and economic development needs.
“Alex is a seasoned real estate attorney with vast experience executing transactional and financing deals,” said Steve Humke, chief managing partner of Ice Miller. “The addition of his skillset to our Real Estate Group enhances our ability to offer clients broad and complex real estate services.”
Alex drafts and negotiates leases, deeds, easements and licenses and manages real estate portfolios. He also crafts project agreements for urban developments and advises on matters related to real property and municipal law.
Previously, Alex worked as director of real estate for the city of Indianapolis, where he managed a real estate and lease portfolio of more than one million square feet. He also spent two years as assistant corporation counsel for the city of Indianapolis, where he advised the Department of Public Works regarding real estate, construction, corporate governance and employment and labor issues.
